Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla bean including scraped seeds, and salt
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to steam but not boil
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly
Remove the vanilla bean and discard
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturers instructions
In the last few minutes of churning, add chopped dark chocolate and toasted almonds
Once the ice cream reaches a thick, creamy consistency, transfer it to a freezer-safe container
Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm
Serve scoops of Tinmans Delight Ice Cream and enjoy
