Stovetop Macaroni and Cheese

A homemade, creamy macaroni and cheese recipe that can be made on the stove. This is a great recipe for a quick and filling meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

Cook macaroni according to package instructions, drain, and set aside

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat

Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly

Gradually add milk while whisking to avoid lumps

Cook until the mixture thickens

Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper

Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth

Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce

Stir until well combined and heated through

Serve hot and enjoy
