Comforting Crock Pot Chili

For cold days, this hearty and flavorful crock pot chili is just what you need. Its simple to make and can cook all day in the slow cooker, which makes the flavors blend perfectly. Put your favorite toppings on top to make a tasty and filling meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can 14
  • 5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced avocado

Instructions:

Break up the ground beef with a spoon as you brown it in a skillet over medium-low heat

Put minced garlic and chopped onions in the pan

Cook until the onions become clear

Put the beef mixture in a slow cooker

Put tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker

Also add diced tomatoes

Use a stir to mix

Put the lid on top and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours

You can serve it hot with extras like sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, or shredded cheese
