Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14
- 5 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced avocado
Instructions:
Break up the ground beef with a spoon as you brown it in a skillet over medium-low heat
Put minced garlic and chopped onions in the pan
Cook until the onions become clear
Put the beef mixture in a slow cooker
Put tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker
Also add diced tomatoes
Use a stir to mix
Put the lid on top and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours
You can serve it hot with extras like sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, or shredded cheese
